For us, nothing comes before safety. It’s how we start and end our meetings. It’s a topic of discussion in the office, in the field and on the job. We make safety such an essential part of our business that we developed an entire event around it. Our Annual Safety Meeting & BBQ is our way of coming together to refresh our knowledge and celebrate the hard work that keeps everyone safe every day. During this celebration, we enjoy a great BBQ lunch, while we discuss training, safety metrics and what it takes to continue to set the standard for protection for our employees. We also receive raffle prizes that include gift cards, tools, flat top grills, and other great gifts – donated to our event by generous vendors.
Each year, our leadership selects a team member for the Excellence in Safety Award based on several key safety and performance measures. This includes participation in daily THA’s and Toolbox Talks, sustaining no recordable injuries on the job, and overall commitment to jobsite safety. This year’s recipient is Justin B. His commitment to keeping our workplace safe has been invaluable as he embodies protection, looking out for his teammates and ensuring their wellbeing. His impact is how safety moves from a policy to a mindset to an embedded culture. Thanks to leaders like him, ProCraft can continue to raise the bar.
